Rivoli Roundup: Finding great places to vacation with kids
I just finished up a 4-part series on “Where to stay with kids,” where you’ll find great resources to help uncover truly family-friendly places to stay on your next adventure, whether it’s a recommended roadside motel on your next road trip, a baby-ready jungle hut in Central America, or a family-friendly medieval villa with a heated pool in France.
This photo (above) comes from a great place we stayed with kids on the Oregon coast last year, which you’ll find featured in a review I wrote at TravelSavvyMom.com, one of the sites I recommend in the “Where to stay” series. It’s also part of Photo Friday over at DeliciousBaby.com (where you’ll find an assortment of inspiring travel photos today).
Check out these posts to help find great resources for family-friendly hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, condos, apartments, and more:
Where to stay with kids 1: Travel Savvy Mom
Where to stay with kids 2: Ciao Bambino!
Where to stay with kids 3: Six Suitcase Travel
Where to stay with kids 4: Trekaroo
One final note for the week: Baby Rivoli #3 is due to arrive in the near future (very near, I hope!), so please cross your fingers for us for a safe delivery and be patient if the posts slow down… for a little while. I’ll be happily on a “family staycation” of the very best kind.
Cheers,

Lovely! We also had a great time here in Italy at a very family friendly resort. http://www.baroquebabies.com/2009/02/family-wellness-vacation-in-mountains.html
what a great place! Ironically, my next door neighbor has a house exactly like it! I keep on wanting to be invited over, but he’s like 100 years old, so we don’t have much in common:)
great post series.

The house looks really nice for vacation!
Very useful tips about the travel with baby, now its easy to travel anywhere with babies also. Photos are looking very nice and the baby is so sweet.
Hi Shelly! I checked the links that you have provided and they are great places to stay in with kids. Aside from hotels, tourists can also choose to try the short term furnished apartments (NYC offered in different locations. They have home like features that make things comfortable for a visiting family. Also, opting for short term furnished rentals (New York and other cities) are certainly convenient since they are highly accessible particularly to tourist attractions that visitors would be thrilled to go to.
Hoping for your safe delivery and thanks for the great post!
